Our beloved Garry Leo Quint was taken from us December 3, 2011. Born to Norbert and Beatrice Quint March 11, 1942 in Garden City, Kansas. He was raised in California, where he lived next door to his future wife Carole, they married on December 26, 1959.
He is survived by his wife; Carole Quint , three children; Carree T. Quint-Dallman and her husband Steve, Trina M. Nelson and her husband Ray, Joe L. Quint and his wife Karen, grandchildren; Courtney Sharp, Monique and Ashley Quint and Jared Dallman. He adored them all.
Garry was an aero space machinist for twenty five plus years. Dedicated to his job, but taking time to go camping and fishing, his favorite pastime. He also liked to garden- tying for a champion tomato. Garry and Carole moved to San Angelo in 1992 settling in the Dove Creek area. Garry loved it there, he fed the deer and loved calling them and watching them nibble corn. He was fond of the quail and dove, feeding them as well.
Garry was a great teaser and story teller. He brought a smile to everone he met, but he was also set in his beliefs. A football fan he was hoping the Oakland Raiders would make it to the Super Bowl.
We have lost a husband, father, grandfather and friend. May he be at peace.
The family would like to thank Dr. Roberta Hinshaw for her many years of care, Garry wouldn’t see anyone else. The staff from Pulmonary Rehab especially Teresa and Ronnie, the Vista Care Hospice staff for their support. Garry your journey is over at last but you’ll remain in our hearts.
From me to you “ discretion was the better part of Valor”
