Geraldine Ward

Geraldine Westbrook Ward of Beaumont Texas passed away on Saturday July 2nd at the age of 85.She was born to Gordon B. Westbrook and Mamie Posey Westbrook on August 6,1925 in Tom Green county.She grew up in the Grape Creek community and graduated from Water Valley High School.She married G.C. Ward on May 11,1946 in San Angelo.She retired from the San Angelo Independent School District as a cafeteria manager.

After retirement she worked for many years as a volunteer at Angelo Community Hospital.In 2006 she moved to Beaumont Texas to be closer to her daughter Jan. She was preceded in death by her husband and and brother Gordon Westbrook.She is survived by her daughter Jan and her husband Ralph Sheffy.two grandsons,Ward Sheffy of Beaumont,Texas and Wes Sheffy of The Woodlands,Texas.two brothers

and husband Leslie of Bastrop Texas and several nieces and nephews,and very special friends Frank and Dora Perkins...Visitation will be Tuesday July 5th from 6:30 till 8:00 PM at Johnsons Funeral Home.Graveside services will be at Grape Creek Cemetary on Wednesday July 6th at 10:00....Everyone who knew Geraldine will miss her friendly smile and loving personality,the world was a little better place because she was there.
