

Jack grew up in Slaton, Texas. He graduated from Slaton High School and studied at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. He met Sherry Carol Allen, whom he married on September 28, 1962.
Jack served in the US Marine Corps. Jack and Carol settled in San Angelo in 1966 where Jack began working for Jim Bass Ford. Jack served as Parts Manager, working for James Bass for the next several years.
Starting in a small facility on W. Harris Street, Concho Supply, Inc. opened in 1971. Jack dedicated his life to the operation and success of Concho Supply Inc., for the past 45 years. He was passionate about providing the best service possible to his customers and he provided stability and continuity for his employees. He was fierce in his business decisions, but always kind and generous to his employees.
Today, Concho Supply, Inc. has eight locations serving Texas. Local locations include the Concho Supply Warehouse, Three Rivers Auto, and Three Rivers Paint & Supply, all located on Sherwood Way. Additional locations include Abilene, Temple, Georgetown, Waco and Lubbock.
As an avid car enthusiast, Jack found great joy working in the automotive industry. He loved attending car races, car shows, and was most fond of muscle cars including Mustangs and Corvettes. His 1970 Boss 302 Mustang has won multiple awards.
Jack and Carol purchased a lake home in Granbury in 1998 and spent many weekends there enjoying the lake and their many friends.
Jack is survived by his wife, Carol Hinson, of San Angelo; his daughter and son-in-law, Tish and Rusty Thompson; and four grandchildren, Slade Thompson, Jett Thompson, Brandon Hinson, and Travis Hinson. Also surviving Jack is his dear friend and extended family member, Sonny Thompson.
Without question, Carol was the love of Jack’s life. They were married for 53 years and worked side by side at Concho Supply, Inc.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo. Adam Rodriguez officiating.
