Jimmy McFerran Bramlett passed away from this life on Tuesday, October26, 2010. Jimmy was born in Ft. Smith, Arkansas on December 4, 1938 to Betty Louise McFerran Bramlett and Herman Cecil Bramlett. He lived in Ft. Smith until 1951 when his family moved to San Angelo. From that day forward, Jimmy embraced and loved all things “Texas”. He especially loved the football teams of the Dallas Cowboys and the University of Texas Longhorns.
After graduation from San Angelo High School, Jimmy went into the refrigeration and air conditioning trade. He worked for Angelo Refrigeration before starting his own business, RACO, with partner, Lee Haynie. When they closed their business, Jimmy went to work for Town & Country Food Stores. He oversaw the maintenance and installation of refrigeration and air conditioning of new and existing stores. He retired in 2009, but not finding enough outlets for his energy, he began doing special jobs for Daryl Cates at A-Tex Restaurant Supply on a part-time basis.
Jimmy was very devoted to his faith and his family. He was an active member of Lakeview Bible Church. His children and his grandchildren were his greatest joy on earth. He was a coach, Boy Scout leader and supporter of any activity in which his children participated.
