Joey Angel Gonzales Jr.

Jose “Joey” Gonzales, age 49, of San Angelo went to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, December 5, 2009. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Diana Hernandez officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Pallbearers are Con Mendez, Danny Rendon, Barney Mendez, Lance Alan, Jesse Sepeda and Johnny Sweat. Joey was born August 28, 1960 to Melba Lucio and Jose Angel Gonzales Sr. in San Angelo, Texas. He graduated from Lake View High School and attended Commercial College. He worked for San Angelo State School in his earlier years and later in construction. He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Angel Gonzales Sr., his grandfathers; Jose Lucio and Beto Gonzales, his grandmother, Willie Ermo McKinney. He is survived by his mother Melba L. Flores and Jimmy Martinez, Brother’s; Robert L. Flores and wife Norma, Frank Flores III, stepfather Frank Flores Jr., a special aunt Bellan Gutierrez of Tampa, Florida, a niece, Heather Flores, nephews; Frank Flores IV, Blake Flores and Ricco Flores, many cousins and family members. We will all miss you Joey, but your memory will always be in our hearts and someday we will see you again.
