

Mr. Yankovich was born on January, 30, 1922 in Gary, Indiana to Demyan and Peraska Yankovich. He later moved to Sioux City, Iowa. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army during World War II. He was honorably discharged and was employed by Armour and Company. In 1963, he transferred to San Angelo, Texas. After his retirement in 1978, he was employed by West Side National Bank.
He married Wilma Taylor in 1945; she preceded him in death in 1981. His parents and his brother, George, also preceded him in death. In 1982, he married Janet Tumlinson.
Survivors include his wife, Janet and children Jana (Scott) Sparks, Mark (Lisa) Tumlinson, James (Irina) Yankovich, and Linda (Jess) Guthrie. Grandchildren Chevas Sparks, Chelsey Sparks, and Bronson Sparks, Tanner Tumlinson and Hunter Tumlinson, Lauren Yankovich and Brittney Yankovich, Jason Guthrie and Viktoriya Smeltzer and husband Steven. Also, great-grandchildren Alexan Sparks, Hudson Sparks and Sofia Smeltzer.
There will be no local services. The family suggests memorials be made to the charity of choice.
The family would especially like to thank Dr. John Harvey and the staff of Regency House for their care and compassion during Mr. Yankovich’s illness.
