Kathy was born on November 30, 1943 to William Henry and Frances Walcott Ligon in San Angelo, Texas. She will be remembered as an amazing person and as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a selfless person who always concerned herself with the well being of others. As someone who was caring and nurturing, she would always want to know how someone was doing. Kathy loved to spend time with her family no matter what. Family cookouts, barbeques, fishing and hunting trips or even camping gave her much joy. Each morning she enjoyed drinking coffee with the neighbor ladies and formed enduring friendships with each of them. Her unconditional love showed each time someone new joined the family as she treated each new member as her own. Kathy loved to cook and bake and was famous for her spaghetti, pigs in a blanket, sweets and all around good food. PTA and being a Homeroom Mom kept her busy and so did her animals. She always had dogs, sometimes more than one. Her favorites were a bird dog pointer named “Sam” and a cow named “Cowzy”.
The last few years of her life brought her the most joy. She had so much fun and enjoyed being around family as much as her illness allowed. One of the fondest memories she had was of riding the train at the zoo with her great-grandson. She felt like a kid again. She will be greatly missed by many.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Ronald W. Jones and Gene Graham; and a sister Ginger Baker. She is survived by her daughters: Lisa Easterly and husband Roy of Carlsbad, TX and Rhonda Miller and husband Mike of Mansfield, TX; grandchildren: Kristen Owen and husband Justin of San Angelo, Melanie Miller and fiancé Kodi Tanner of Mansfield, TX, and Ryan Easterly of San Angelo; great-grandson Zane Owen of San Angelo; beloved sister in-law Brenda Nowlin of Castell, TX; and niece and nephews: Vanessa Roberts of Wills Point, TX and Shawn and Shane Nowlin of Ft. Worth.
Until we meet again.
