Keri Block

Keri Nicole Block, 36 left this world to join her Heavenly Father on July 28, 2013. The Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Johnsons Funeral Home Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 A.M., Friday, August 9 at Holy Angels with Reverend Tom Barley and Father Chinna Pagidela as celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Wall, Tx. Keri was born May 27, 1977 to Dennis and Joy Block. Always on the go, Keri enjoyed dancing, numerous sports, state UIL Band and Twirling, and FFA competition. Entering the medical field, Keri worked as CST-Surge Tech and Recovery at Community Hospital as an RN. She was CST-Surge Tech, RN Program Director at Howard College. Keri was a beautiful individual who gained much skill and was dubbed “Ker Bear”. Keri was preceded in death by her brother, Brandon Block, , cousin, Jason Block, and paternal Grandpa, Robert H. Block; maternal grandparents, Armin W. and Lena May Schwertner She is survived by her children, Bryson and Kelsey; parents, Dennis and Joy Block; brother, Justin Block and wife, Lessa; sister-in-law, Susan Block and nephew, Sutton; her paternal grandmother, Virgin Ann Block, Aunt and uncles: June and Wilbert Jost, Judy and Stanley Book, Herb and Diane Schwertner, Richard and Jodelle Block, Carl and Barbara Block, Carol and Larry Upshaw, and numerous cousins and friends who dearly loved her. Pallbearers for the service will be Brian Book, Brad Book, Jason Book, Gerald Jost, Kenny Dierschke, Wolfgang Schwertner, Ryne Dierschke, Eric Drennan
