Louis Wray Bruce

Louis Wray Bruce, 74, of San Angelo passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011. He was born September 4, 1936 in Luling, Texas to Louis and Evelyn Bruce. He graduated high school in Hobbs, NM and attended Texas Tech. He married Barbara White on September 4, 1956 in Tarzan, TX. He was a salesman for Southwestern Bell in Midland, Odessa and Dallas for 35 years.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Bruce of San Angelo; 4 children: Kevin Bruce and wife Cathy of San Angelo, Karen Cole and husband Chris of Dripping Springs, Kenneth Bruce and wife Kathy of Murphy’s Burrow, TN and Kathryn Bub and husband Scott of The Woodlands; as well as 12 grandchildren, 1 grandson-in-law and 4 great-grandchildren.

There will be a visitation Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Taylor Sandlin officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Food Bank, West Texas Boys Ranch, Meals for the Elderly or a charity of your choice.
