Manuela Maciel Arredondo

Manuela (Nellie) Maciel Arredondo, 72, of San Angelo, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at a local hospital. She was born March 12, 1943 in San Angelo, Texas to the late, Celestino and Tomasa Maciel. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, 4 brothers and daughter, Linda Cantu. She is survived by her husband, Jose Arrendondo; 2 sons, Willie Aguirre, Jr. (Sally) and David Aguirre (Irene); 2 daughters, Carol Bishop (Carl) and Anna Kelley (Edward); 18 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Dolores Sarabia, Anna Valenzuela (Ismael), Janie Ortiz, and Frances Nieves; brother, Jose Maciel; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Nellie attended San Angelo schools and retired from San Angelo State School. She was a kind and loving person that would help anyone in need. Her gratitude and generosity will be greatly missed by those that she reached out to help. Nellie was a person that enjoyed fishing and being outside take care of her chickens, her plants and her garden. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in the Johnson's Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in the Lillie Street Church of Christ on 19th and Lillie, San Angelo. Interment will follow in the Belvedere Cemetery with Jeremy Aguirre, David B. Aguirre, Adrian Cantu, Louis Aguirre, Mark Andrade and Robert Chavez serving as pallbearers.
