Margaret Rose Torrez

She was born on December 13th, 1957 in San Angelo, Texas to Herbert and Eva Torres. Margaret attended Christoval ISD and graduated in the class of 1976. After graduation, Margaret began working at GTE, later Verizon, for 34 years until her retirement. She later began working at Shannon for 3 years.

Margaret was a proud member of Immaculate Conception Mission Church. She loved spending time with family and helping others, and will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity. Margaret will also be remembered for her love of football and cooking.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Eva Torres; and niece, Regina Garcia.

Left to cherish Margaret's memory are her daughters, Erica (Steven) Villarreal, and Lisa (Chad) Harris; special nephew whom she considered a son, Christopher (Daniella) Torres; grandchildren, Dillion Martinez, Joseph Eben Padilla, Ramon Rios Villarreal III, Murphy Harris, and Eva Rachelle Villarreal; and siblings, Vidal (Maricella) Torres, Ernestine Torres, Herbert (Charlene) Torres, Mary (Eddie) Garcia, Evangeline Torres, Raymond (Cheryl) Torres, Carlos (Sherry) Torres, Sally Torres (Rene Fernandez), and Regi (Patricia) Torres; and sister-in-law, Virginia Torres. Also left to cherish Margaret's memory are her 17 beloved nieces and nephews, and their families.

A rosary will be held on at 6:30 PM on Thursday February 1st, 2024 at Johnson's Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday February 2nd, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Mission Church in Knickerbocker, TX. Interment will follow at Knickerbocker Catholic Cemetery.

The family would also like to thank the staff of Shannon South Medical Center and Hospice of San Angelo for the love and care they gave Margaret.
