

Mark Gene Loveday, 59, passed away July 9, 2017 in San Angelo, TX. He was born January 17, 1958 in Norman, Oklahoma to Gene Loveday and Doris North. Mark graduated from Whitesboro High School in 1976 and then received an Associate’s degree from ITT Tech in 1988. He served his country in the United States Army as an E7 Sergeant First Class, during his time in the Army he was a Nuclear Weapons Specialist. Mark received many awards and accomplishments such as, US Army Overseas Service Ribbon, US Army Good Conduct Medal, US Army M-16 Marksman Badge and US Army Grenade Expert Badge. After serving in the Army he had a career as an Automation and Programing Engineer. Mark married the love of his life Cindy Loveday June 30, 2001. He was a member of PaulAnn Baptist Church and had a passion for fishing and camping. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Gene Loveday and Doris North; and his sister, Laura Beth. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy Loveday; son, Jimmy Loveday; daughters, Kristy Morrow and Misty Loveday; stepdaughters, Brooke Wilcox and Brittney Wojtek; brother, Ray “Ike” Knight; sister, Margie Knight Ford; grandchildren, Kiley, Bryson and Alyssa Loveday, Matt Aldridge and Keelee Morrow, Dillan Dean, Nicholas Lindsey and April Jenkins; and step grandchildren, Jonas Wilcox and Noelle Wilcox. Viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 in Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
