

Our beloved Frances, Mother, Granny, GG, went to be with her heavenly Father on December 17, 2016 in San Angelo, TX. Mary Frances Kyle Watson was born in Sherman, Texas, to Fred and Julia Kyle on August 17, 1924. Frances graduated from Sherman High School in 1942 and married Harry Watson on April 1, 1944. After the birth of their first daughter, the couple moved to San Angelo in 1945 where they made their home and raised their family for the remainder of their lives. Harry preceded her in death on July 3, 2005. Frances was also preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, her son-in-law Jesse Peitchinsky, and her daughter Cathy Watson.
Frances stayed at home with her children until they were grown, and then went to work for State Farm Insurance in June of 1966. She worked for Jeff Kennemer and Delbert Hawkins officially retiring in 1989. She then went back to work at State Farm part time for Steve White until retiring again in 2014. She loved attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities and ball games. She was everyone’s biggest fan. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for 71 years becoming a fixture in the baby nursery and was a friend to all. She was a crossword puzzle and Jumble expert. In her later years she loved playing Words with Friends and keeping up with everyone on Facebook. She was an avid reader, an enthusiastic Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy viewer, a true NCIS fanatic, and passionate collector and watcher of red birds .
She is survived by 4 siblings , Julia Totten, Gene Harper, Jerry Kyle, and John Kyle , 3 children, Becky Peitchinsky, Judy and Sam Keel, and Jimmy and Suzy Watson, 4 grandchildren , Dan Keel, DD and Danny Boschert, Carmen and Jim Copeland, and Wendi and Kevin Porche, and 6 great grandchildren : Jordan, Jeremy, Corbin, Grace, Trey, and Laynee.
There will be an open visitation throughout the day on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in the Johnson’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Frances’s grandsons , great grandsons , and great family friend Bobby Stevens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of San Angelo or Immanuel Baptist Church Nursery Department for new rocking chairs since she wore the old ones out.
