Ramona P. Ortegon

Ramona Perez Ortegon, 67, of San Angelo, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in San Angelo. She was born to the late, Pantaleon Perez, Sr. and Maria Rodriguez Perez on August 24, 1950 in San Angelo, Texas. Ramona worked as a cook for many years. She took great pride in having a clean home for family and friends to gather in. She was a loving and giving lady, who adored her grandchildren. Ramona spent as much time outdoors in her garden as she could. She will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert P. Ortegon; grandson, Ernest Robert Mendoza; and brother, Julian Perez.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Ann Reyna, Mary Ann Reyna, Guadalupe Soto, Dolly Ortegon, Pauline Ortegon, and Robert Ricardo Ortegon; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Rosalinda Del Rio, Sarah Ramirez, Pantaleon Perez, Jr., and John Abel Perez; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 in Johnson's Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017 in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
