

Richard Shane Harrell “Shane”, 46 a lifelong oilfield worker passed away June 24, 2017 in San Angelo at Shannon Medical Center. Shane was born September 11, 1970 in San Angelo, Texas to Benny Locke and Mary Haines. He graduated from Tivy in 1989. Shane married Phyllis Gee Harrell on August 11, 2012. He loved spending time with family and playing at the lake, he also enjoyed the occasional money pit gatherings. Shane loved hard, hurt hard, lived hard and played hard. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard (Dick) and Ruth (Mam) Locke; father, Benny Locke; adopted father, Donnie Harrell; step father, David Haines; his mother’s parents, Norman and Anne Olson and longtime friend Shawn. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Gee Harrell; sons, Brock Harrell, Bryson Harrell; stepdaughter, Maddax Thompson; mother, Mary Haines; younger brother, Lance and his wife Tanya and their two children, Taylor Harrell and Brooke Harrell; baby brother, Layton Harrell; father and mother-in-law, Glenn and Teresa Gee; sister-in-law and brother –in-law, Farah and her husband Charles Sears and their children, Ashley Sears, Autumn Sears, Catlyn Sears, Liam Sears; friends, Troy and Christin Fortenberry and their four beautiful children, Mark Amador and his family, Lance Jarrett and his family; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. All of our families would like to express our deep appreciation to the staff at Shannon. Dr. Hodge and Casey Rn and ER Staff. Dr. Perret (Intensivist) Dr. Minney (Family Practice) Dr. Coates (GI Specialist) and Dani Rn (Days) and Alex Rn (Nights) and all other ICU Staff, thanks to all of his family, friends, coworkers and bosses that called, text, came to see him and made calls, to the angels that set up camp not sleeping and brought softer tissues, snuck snacks into the waiting room and jumped in their cars and left it all to be here. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Johnson’s Funeral Home with service to follow from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Celebration of life will begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 at the former Stagecoach (Now known as the Little River Club) there will be the time to share stories about Shane.
