Robert Guerra Alvarado Jr.

Robert Guerra Alvarado Jr. "Boogie", 59, was called home by the Lord on Christmas morning. He was born on April 30, 1954, in Lamesa, Texas, to Elma and Robert Alvarado Sr. He was born into baptism on July 3, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Alvarado Sr.; and uncle Silvestre Guzman. He was a loving father to Jennifer and Jesse James and wife Claudia Alvarado. He was a loving dad to Jason, Josh, Jacob, and Katie Brawner along with spouses and grandchildren. He is also survived by wife Darlene Brawner Alvarado; grandchildren Cody, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Meghan and Naudya. Robert was a hard worker, loved to play pool and was a die hard Redskins fan. He loved to ride his bike in his free time. He was an active member of PaulAnn Baptist Church and dedicated his time to running the video cameras. Robert never met a stanger. He is also survived by his beloved animal companion, Gabby. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at Johnson's Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at PaulAnn Baptist Church with burial to follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
