Victor G. Brenek of Wall, TX, passed away on March 30, 2022. He was born on March 13, 1938 in San Angelo, TX to Victor R. Brenek and Edith M. (Maresh) Brenek. Victor attended San Angelo High School and graduated in the class of 1956, he later attended San Angelo College. He worked for the State of Texas as a Comptroller Agent. Victor married Joana L. Feist “Tootsie” on April 27, 1963 and had 2 children. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and had a passion for Geology, Water Witching, History and was a Weather Enthusiast, and will always be remembered for his kindness, compassion, his great smile and formidable wit. Victor was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Edith Brenek. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joana Lee Brenek (Tootsie); his children, Chris Brenek and Stephanie Brenek Simmons and husband Steven Simmons; grandchild, Major Simmons and numerous nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Schaefer, Mike Maresh, Jay Maresh, Weyland Schaefer, Allen Schaefer and Evan Schaefer. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a memorial donation to Baptist Retirement Community, St. Gabriel’s Hospice or a charity of your choice.
