Abigail Brown VanDeventer

She attended Wells College, graduated from Wyoming Seminary, attended Pittsford High School, Mesabi Community College with an associate degree in nursing. She obtained her certification for hemodialysis and was a dialysis Nurse for 10 years. She loved her family dearly and treasured time with her grandchildren.

She was active in PEO, past President in Hibbing, Minnesota. Her hobbies included avid lover of Welsh Corgis, reading, spending time in Thousand Island Park, a National Register Historic district on the St. Lawrence River where her grandchildren are 5th generation.She was preceded in death by her parents, Anne and Wallace Brown; husband, Fr. Arthur R. VanDeventer; and sisters, Nancy Pieper and Charity Ann Banker. Abigail is survived by sister, Gertrude Brown Fitelson; daughter, Anne McCabe; sons, Edward VanDeventer and David VanDeventer; 7 Grandchildren, Benjamin, Taylor, Megan and Kelly McCabe and Lily, Hadley, and Miller VanDeventer.

Funeral service will be Saturday, Oct 14th, 1 PM at Christ Church 141 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14604 with a reception to follow.
