

Adelina (Lina) Gallegos Montero (also known as Magu to her grandson) passed away on November 17, 2023. She was born to Tomás Gallegos and Mercedes Flores on April 28, 1944 near the town of Bigfoot, Texas. She lived in and around San Antonio and Devine areas all her life. Lina was a kind and caring person, who enjoyed spending time with family and traveling. Lina was always game for attending sporting events, shows, or any activity she was invited.
She is survived by her husband Emiliano Eugenio Montero, daughter Elvira Mercedes Franks, son-in-law Russell Franks, grandson Patrick Franks, sister Tina Lopez, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lina is also survived by her devoted kitty friend Amy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Jose Gallegos, Juan Gallegos, and Jesús Gallegos, sister Maria Cuellar, brothers-in-law Fernando Lopez and Joseph Cuellar, and sister-in-law Rosa Gallegos.

A visitation for Adelina will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. 78211 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 4222 SW Loop 410, 78227 with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Devine, Texas.
