Agustin Munguia

He proudly served in the US Navy; honorably discharged May 1963; retired from American Airlines after serving over 30 years of service.

Agustin was an amazingly noble man, who loved his church, family and friends; served as coordinator and head usher for St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. He lived a life of service and devotion to the church.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Guadalupe Munguia and his parents, Placido and Andrea Munguia; brothers, Taurino Munguia, Jose Munguia; sisters, Antonia Morales and Aniceta (Bebe) Garza.

Agustin is survived by his children: Jesse (Karla) Munguia and Sylvia (Francisco) Draven-Montanez; grandchildren: Andrea (Niles) Walters, Ramon (Haley) Munguia, David Munguia, Ashley Draven, Frank, Alex and Briana Montanez; great-grandchildren: Takoda and Kinley Walters, Gabriel, Gianna and Genesis Munguia, Alexandrea Bernal and Jensen Aguilar; sister Idalia (Jesse) Mendoza; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home Chapel on Cupples Road.

On Friday, June 16th the funeral procession will depart at 11:30 a.m. for a Mass at 12:00 p.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 4222 SW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX followed by interment in San Fernando Cemetery III. Reception at St. Vincent De Paul Fellowship Hall.
