

Born November 1, 1941, in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Alan T. and Anna Mae Harley Erwin.
He lived his early childhood in Denver, CO. He later lived in Arizona and graduated from high school in Miracle Valley. His professional career began as a business manager for the Evangelical Minister, Rev. A. A. Allen. Later he returned to Pennsylvania where he began his life long career expanding more than 30 years as a Travel Industry Executive. Alan was fortunate to have a career doing the thing he truly loved. He traveled the world extensively with his life partner, Steve.
He lived life with zest and perfected his every endeavor. An avid gourmet cook, delighting in elaborate preparations and presentations for candlelight dining. He was a sports enthusiast, a computer wizard, and a creative entrepreneur with a passion for developing show case gardens and decorating homes.
Alan is survived by his devoted partner of 26 years, Stephen Kauffman; a son, David Erwin, and two grandsons, Michael and Matthew Erwin, of Minnesota and countless friends.
He was a member of the Cathedral of Hope in Dallas.
