Alena was a freshman and honor student at Smithson Valley High School in Bulverde, TX, as well as a member of the Smithson Valley High School Choir. She loved her sisters, bike riding, knitting, and baby sitting. She was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Michael and Helen Kowal, and Felix P. Foschetti, Sr. She is survived by her parents, Stephan and Julie Kowal; 3 sisters, Tia, Sasha, and Mikala Kowal; her grandmother, Alice C. Foschetti; 2 uncles, Michael Kowal and wife Elizabeth, and Dr. Felix P. Foschetti, Jr. and wife Frances; an aunt, Maryalice Breidinger and husband Charles; a great-aunt, Margaret O'Keefe, and numerous cousins and other family members.
