He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church for 53 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy, and retired from Ft. Sam Houston. Mr. Travieso, a Canary Island descendant, loved baseball and was recognized as one of the top players in San Antonio.
He was a loving father and the best grandfather. His three granddaughters were the joy of his life. Mr. Travieso thoroughly enjoyed his family reunions.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen, brothers, Ernest, Gilbert, Justo, Ignacio and Edward and sisters, Tillie, Lucy and Stella.
He is survived by his son, Alexander A. Travieso and wife, Gloria of San Antonio and granddaughters, Lisa, Gina and Amy.
