

Alfred John Alejos of San Antonio passed away on Monday, February 9th, 2026 at the age of 62. He was born on May 8, 1963 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1981. He began his career as an aircraft mechanic for the U.S. Air Force in 1982. He began his 2nd career with the Department of Public Safety as a State Trooper in 2002, serving the counties of Karnes, Wilson, Bexar, and Medina.
Al’s life and legacy will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Cynthia Jo Alejos, his children, Anna & Adan Villanueva Jr. and Aaron & Hillary Alejos; by his parents, Delfino & Anna Alejos; by his siblings, Pat & Rose Alejos, Joe & Sheila Alejos, and Lisa Alejos. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Adan James, Amara, Elliana, and Emelia. In addition, he is survived by many beloved relatives. Lastly, he is survived by man’s best friend, his dog Salomon (Sal).
Al was a true and faithful servant to all he met. He was a man of great character who provided wisdom, help, support, and unconditional love. He was a dedicated Aggies fan and a diehard Cowboys fan. He loved cooking for his family and was an avid outdoorsman.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, TX 78212. A prayer vigil will begin at 6:00 p.m.
The final viewing will take place at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25th at Porter Loring. Family and friends are invited to process from Porter Loring at 9:00 a.m. to a Celebration of Life with mass beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 202 N. St. Mary’s St., San Antonio, TX 78205 on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026.
Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
