            "A Brilliant Mind" 
Bishop Alfred Perry,  The memories go so far back, from his teachings , to his mother cooking dinner for our family, to his wife teaching my children.  Bishop Perry has over the years been my pastor during my service at Fort Sam Houston,  our family counselor,  my mentor and an inspiration.  Even though I hadn't spoken to him in a few years.  I have a wealth of knowledge and wisdom from the years of knowing him.  In all of my 64 years of life, in the ministry world Bishop Perry's mind was one of the most Brilliant and Beautiful minds I knew.  Rest in Peace Bishop and my Condolences to and prayers for the family.

So sad to hear that one of the greatest biblical scholars that I came to know in 1989 has passed away. It was because this man of the gospel, my former pastor, “The Professor “ as I always referred to him has gone home to be with the Lord. It was because of Bishop Alfred Perry that I’ve grown in the  knowledge and understanding  of Gods word to be the man of God I am today. I will forever miss you dad, one of my treasured fathers of the gospel. Rest in best peace young man. I love you. Aman.

My condolences and prayers are with you during your time of grief.  Bishop Perry was dedicated to fulfilling the purpose of his calling.  He impacted many lives from the day he arrived in San Antonio to the day of his demise.  Had it not been for Bishop Perry's encouragement and assistance I would not have realized my desire to attend and graduate college.  I would not have acquired a deeper understanding of the Word of God if not for his teaching.  The Bishop did so many positive things for his people.  Remember him as that spirit of love that sought to enlighten us to the true meaning of holiness.
Perry family, you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
   

Highest Honor to this mighty man of God who labored faithfully in Word & Doctrine... Bishop Dr. Alfred Perry, your imprint looms large in the kingdom. You will be missed.

We shall always remember him as a man of God who loved all of the people of God.

To Lady Lanita Perry, Family  and entire church family, we will forever remember his words of wisdom and acts of kindness to aspiring pastors.  Bishop Perry was an excellent Leader & Parliamentarian who inspired us  all in the Eastern District & Texas State Council.  He has made his mark in History and We are glad to have known and worked with him.  We will surely miss his dynamic teaching.

My family and I attended Christ Temple twenty plus years ago. Bishop often invited us over to his house. Mother Perry would make us sandwiches. We'd pray and seek God. Many good times with Bishop Perry. You could never leave out of his sight without a word of prayer from Bishop. For that, I will always be thankful.  Our prayers are with you.

To the Perry’s family and Christ Temple Family our prayers  are with you. Bishop Perry made a lasting impression on my life. As a young man his firm instruction and and stands in holiness paid off in my latter years. He will be missed. 

To Mother LaNita Perry and the entire Perry family our prayers and thoughts go out to you and we share in the loss of this general of the faith. So many memories as a young boy witnessing the ministry of Bishop Alfred Perry. His meticulous teaching style and knowledge of the scriptures was captivating.  The visits he would make to Lighthouse Pentecostal Church as our Dist. Elder and a guest in our home for me were special times. He and my grandmother had a very special fond respect for one another and he would often remember her as we would talk and visit at various conference meetings. Take your rest Bishop for a work well done and a reward well deserved. The Pastor and members of Lighthouse Pentecostal  pray that the love and comfort of Almighty God surround you as you continue to cherish the precious memory of Bishop Alfred Perry.

Bishop Perry was preceded in death by his father, Ishmael Perry; Mother, Mary Bell Perry; brothers, Henry, Ezra, Albert, Alfonso, Arthur; and sister, Mattie.

He is survived by his wife La’Nita Perry, sisters, Mamie Ruth Tyson, Patricia Ann Perry-Brown, Rosemary Perry-Ryles, extended family Sabrina Quarles, Rhonda Quarles and Harolynn Morgan. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren.
