Alfredo Lopez Chagoya passed away at home on January 24, 2021 at the age of 65. He was born to Luis and Maria Lopez on April 16, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, Luis. He is survived by his mother, Maria C. Lopez; husband, James D. Whittaker; sister and husband, Gina and Terry LaGrone; nephews and their wives, Daniel and Jennifer Lopez, and Derek and Krishna Lopez, and their children. He attended Jefferson High School and the University of Texas. His love was anything that included the use of his artistic talent and his passion of cooking delicious gourmet dishes. He was also fond of caring for his menagerie of rescued animals throughout the years which included: dogs, cats, squirrels, possums, raccoons, and an injured white tail buck. He is loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A private memorial service will be held on March 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
