

Alfredo Gutierrez Garcia was born on March 13, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas to Pedro and Maria Gutierrez Garcia. Married Maria Luna Garcia on May 25, 1960. Alfredo is proceeded in death by his parents, wife, siblings Tonia Garcia, Angelita Garcia, Leopoldo Garcia, Pedro Garcia, Jesus Garcia, Victoria Villanueva, Jose Garcia, Juan Garcia and daughter Maria Alicia Garcia. He is survived by his Son Alfred (Nora) Garcia and Daughters Rebecca Garcia (Larry Hasette+) and Maria Garcia. Along with his wife Maria, he also raised nephews, Jose Espinoza, Elijio Luna and Gilbert Luna. Surviving Sisters, Jovita Ramos, Concepcion Garcia and Luisa Garcia. Eleven Grandchildren Alfredo Garcia, Jaime Garcia, Monique Garza, Corina Rios, Jenny Garcia, Mark Dominguez, Juan Valdez, Alexis Olveda, Faith Garcia, Hope Garcia and Abraham Garcia. Eighteen Great Grandchildren Ebbony Garcia, Jenavie Garcia, Zoie Garcia, Ruben Rios, Benjamin Rios, Xavier Garza, Timothy Rios, Nicolas Rios, Jasmine Garcia, John Valdez, Julien Garza, Martha Dominguez, Isabel Valdez, Anabelle Garcia, David Valdez, Kailoni Dominguez, Alijah Garcia Charlotte Garza and Jon-Angel Garcia. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends
Alfredo served the United States Army, during his service he was stationed in Germany during the same time when Elvis Presley was there. He worked and retired from the San Antonio Water System as an Equipment Operator and the Northeast Independent District as a Custodian. He enjoyed playing, coaching and umpiring softball. He enjoyed attending wrestling matches and any sports in which his kids and grandkids participated. He loved listening to music from Fats Domino, Chuck Berry and Conjunto music. He was very well known in the neighborhood and by family members of always having a fire going ready for anyone to stop by and have a chat or tell one of his famous stories.
Services will be on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 beginning at 5:00 p.m. and Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018. Burial mass will be on Friday February 2, 2018 with burial mass at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.. Burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetary in Losoya, Texas.
