Later, she also made signifi cant contributions to the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind. Her work ethic and dedication were only matched by her compassion and kindness towards her colleagues.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Alice was deeply involved in her Christian faith. She spent many hours volunteering at her church, where her warm presence was a comfort to many. Alice taught CCD over 25 years, was a member of the Altar Society for many years, and was also a member of the Guadalupanas. Alice was the epitome of a faith-fi lled life, always trusting in the Lord's plan and encouraging others to fi nd solace in their beliefs.
Alice's interests were as varied as they were rich. She was an exceptional cook and baker, her kitchen always fi lled with the aromas of delicious treats and meals prepared with love. Her baking and cooking left a legacy of cherished recipes that her family will enjoy for years to come. Her love for reading was evident in the well-thumbed pages of the many books that fi lled her shelves. Alice had a gift for conversation and never missed an opportunity to engage with people, whether sharing a story, offering advice, or simply lending an ear.
Her devotion to her family was unparalleled. Alice is survived by her beloved husband, Pedro Lopez; her son, Rudy Lopez; and her daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Mike Cruz. Each of them benefi ted from her loving guidance, unwavering support, and the joy she brought into their lives. She is also survived by her brothers, Adam and Roger Apolinar (Gisela), and many nieces and nephews.
Alice will be remembered as a woman of immense love and spirit. Her faith-fi lled nature was an inspiration to all, and her loving ways fostered deep and lasting relationships. Her spirited laughter and kind heart were the hallmarks of her character, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered.
We take comfort in the knowledge that Alice's legacy of love and faith will continue to live on through her family and the many lives she touched.
