Alicia M. Levesque

Alicia Levesque, age 78, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012 in San Antonio. She was born July 21, 1933 in Brooksville, Florida to John Henry and Elna Allen. Alicia Levesque was loved and adored and known as MawMaw to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a true partner in every sense of the word to her husband as she followed him to the many different military transfers as far away as Japan. She raised a military family with four children until he retired here in San Antonio. They opened up retail stores and saw them flourish for next generation family.

She loved to dance and in her later years took dance classes with her husband of 58 years. Known for her elegance and beauty, her stunning white hair was always complimented. She loved to knit and each grandchild's first bonnet, booties and blankets were of her hands. Many preemies were kept warm from her loving stitches that she donated through the organization, Threads of Love.

She loved to garden and her many beautiful roses were proof of her tender care. Her greatest accomplishment and her most beautiful garden was her family where each and every member knew her tender care and love. She loved God and was an example of His Love in all she did. She attended Parkhills Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by, her parents, John Henry and Elna Allen; and brothers, Dwight and Benjamin Allen.

Alicia is survived by her loving husband, Robert J. "R.J." Levesque, Jr.;sister, Phyllis Pazicky (Don); daughters, Denise Sanchez (Gilbert) and Vera Salazar; sons, Robert "Bobby" Levesque and John Levesque; grandchildren, Alicia Donald (Johnny) and Brent Flowers (Jenna) and Zain Levesque; great-grandchildren, Devin, MacKenzie and Jordan Donald, Austin and Tyler Flowers.
