One thing she prided herself in was the fact that she raised two boys in a military family. Alicia was always dedicated and enthusiastic supporting her sons through Cubs Scouts, Boy Scouts, Little League and Pop Warner football.
In later years when she lived in Washington, D.C., she hosted wives of Ambassador's through the Christian Embassy getting them familiar with the ways of Washington, D.C. and being an Ambassador of Christ. Alicia hosted many Bible studies in her home for years and years, making lifelong friendships with people from all walks of life.
She was always eager to go anywhere for a new adventure. Just a month ago her son, Izzy was visiting from Washington State and they together spent hours driving through the Hill Country enjoying the scenery.
Alicia always enjoyed looking at the clouds and seeing different scenes in the clouds.
She is survived by son, Israel Valdez, Jr. and wife, Trudy Frederick Valdez of Port Orchard, WA, son, David Valdez and wife, Sarah Jane Valdez of Annapolis, MD; grandson, Seth Frederick Valdez of Seattle, WA; granddaughter, Reagan Borden Johnson of Port Orchard, WA; great-granddaughters, Rebecca and Emma Johnson, Kapree Ann Borden and great-grandson, Elijah Johnson of Port Orchard, WA; brothers-in-law, Guadalupe Valdez, Jr. of Corpus Christi, TX and Nicholas Valdez of Kingsville, TX and many nieces and nephews.
