

He was born December 5, 1924 in Lewiston-Auburn, ME to Allen Culpepper Bullock and Harriet Elizabeth Clarke.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alicia Ramirez Bullock and his children, Allen Culpepper Bullock III San Antonio, Delia Elizabeth Bullock San Antonio, and Wilfred Manuel & Annie Bennett Bullock Houston and their daughters, his granddaughters, Heather Patricia Bullock and Meredith Cyann Bullock.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Diane Elizabeth Bullock Boucher.
On graduating from Edward Little High School in 1943, Allen served his country in the U.S. Army in both the European and Pacific theatres of World War II. He returned to Lewiston, ME to attend Bates College and on graduating in 1950, went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1954 from the University Of Maryland Medical College. He continued his studies at the Veterans' Administration Hospital in Houston, TX where he met Dr. Alicia Ramirez, also a resident physician.
Allen was baptized Catholic and married Alicia on May 2, 1959 at St. Philip the Apostle in Houston. He went on to a long career practicing internal medicine in Houston and later served as Chief of Staff of the Texas State Mental Retardation School in Corpus Christi, TX, retiring in 2002.
He was a lifelong outdoorsman and enjoyed teaching his children to hunt and fish. Allen and Alicia were season ticket holders of the Houston Grand Opera, and missed only one Opera in 17 years. He was as at ease with home repair and landscaping as he was with intellectual pursuits.
He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
