

She attended Madison High School where she grew into a responsible young adult becoming involved in many activities including: PALS, student council and class core - becoming a positive influence to all. She graduated Madison in 2000.
After graduation, Andrea devoted 10 months of her life to a non-profit organization called City Year where she tutored underprivileged children here in San Antonio.
Andrea's goal was to become a special education teacher. She was attending classes at SAC and hoped to transfer to Texas State University.
Andrea was diagnosed with Leukemia in May 2002. She underwent an experimental umbilical cord transplant at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston in May 2003. After struggling with her disease since May 2002, she has gone to be with her Lord and Savior. She lost her battle on February 19, 2004, at the age of 22.
She is survived by her father and mother, Garry W. Armstrong III and Janey Armstrong of San Antonio; her brother, Matthew, his wife Carrie and their unborn child; her paternal grandparents, Garry and Donna Armstrong; maternal grandmother, Genoveba Gomez; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Andrea was deeply loved by all her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
