She is survived by her sons, Jose Elias Rosales, Juan Jose Rosales, Jesus Soto, and Refugio Soto, and her daughters Emily Russell and Maria Luisa Soto, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Garcia was born to Benito and Anastasia Rosales in Eagle Pass, Texas on November 30, 1912. After raising her children in Eagle Pass, she moved to San Antonio, where she had always wanted to live. She began her life in San Antonio by joining the Blue Bird Auxiliary at Methodist Hospital, where she made many friends.
She enjoyed gardening, going out to eat, telling jokes, and the company of family and friends. She is most remembered for her optimism and cheerful disposition.
