Andrew Warren Waymack, age 94 of San Antonio, died on Monday, December 7, 2015.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Hugh Waymack, and sister, Jean Greenway.
Andrew is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sylvia E. Waymack; sons, Stephen W. Waymack, Scott W. Waymack (Brittany), Stuart W. Waymack, and Starr W. Waymack (Amy); daughters, Gale Coleman and Sandy Seal (Richard); grandchildren, Hunter Seal (Blair) and Kelly Davoud (Jeff); great grandchildren, Kaleb Davoud, Kelan Davoud, Hawkins Seal; brother, Stuart Waymack (Margaret).
He was a veteran of the Pacific theater during World War II, long time executive at General Motors, car dealer and loving husband and father. Always a leader, he improved and touched the lives of countless people who remember him as a warm, selfless man who built a better world. As an active, involved person he had many titles; juris doctorate, officer of the San Antonio claims association, volunteer, member of the Rotary Club, member of the Del Rio chamber of commerce, claims adjuster, and many more, but we will remember him for his actions that made us all better, stronger people. His connection to the military continued later in life with his work as a civic leader with the Air Force at Laughlin AFB and assistance as a civilian to the armed services. Throughout his life he dedicated himself to the service of others, volunteering for many organizations and charitable causes. He will forever be missed but his memory lives on in the lives of his family and those whose lives he has touched.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Porter Loring on McCullough.
