Andy Stephen Pavlovsky, Jr. aged 72, went to be with our Lord on February17, 2020 in San Antonio, TX. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 10, 1947 to Andy Sr. & Jackie Pavlovsky. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed.
Andy, better known as "Dusty" to his family and friends graduated from Thomas Edison High School in San Antonio. He attended SAC for a short time. He was a store manager for several grocery chains before he retired He had a green thumb and enjoyed working in his vegetable garden. He could make anything grow. He also liked working on his wood crafts but his favorite thing to do was go surf fishing at the coast.
He had a strong love for his family. He never met a person he didn't like and always made a friend wherever he went. he was fun and loving and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was always willing to help anybody do anything.
Although he went through many surgeries he stayed strong through it all. There was a gentle side of him too. He was good with his many pets and enjoyed playing with them and teaching them new tricks and they loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy Sr. and Jackie and two younger brothers Eddie and Paul. He is survived by his wife Norma of 29 1/2 years who loved him dearly, daughters Kim Shelton (Scott) and Tammy Busch (Mike), brothers James "Tony" (Irene) and Mark (Kathy), sister Mary Micklitz (Greg), sisters-in-law Gail Pavlovsky, Caroline Pavlovsky, Ann Walton and Nanette Sperry (John), two granddaughters Ashley and Kelsey Busch as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Visitation will be 6pm Thursday, February 27, 2020 with a prayer service at 7pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The Graveside Service will be at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (shelter #5) with Military Honors.
