Angel Felipe Gonzalez

Angel Felipe Gonzalez passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the age of 51 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Octoer 18, 1972 to parents, Norma Rodriguez and Jose Angel Gonzalez.

Angel graduated from UTSA school of Engineering with his Bachelor of Applied Science and went on to become the Principle and CEO of GKW Engineers. Beyond his professional achievements, Angel cherished his personal interests deeply. An avid tennis player, he found joy in the precision and strategy of the game. His love for nature led him to enjoy camping and RVing, exploring the great outdoors whenever possible. Angel also had a knack for good food and would never pass up an opportunity to enjoy food and laughs with family and friends.

Proud of his Puerto Rican heritage and his service in the US Army, Angel exemplified strength and resilience throughout his life, especially during his military service.

Angel leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his beloved son, Sebastian Felipe Gonzalez, whose upcoming tennis scholarship exemplifies the pride Angel took in his son's accomplishments. He is also survived by his mother, Norma Rodriguez; father, Jose Angel Gonzalez; brothers, Gerald Davison and Jose Gonzalez; sisters, Jennifer Gonzalez, Angela Fowler, Elizabeth Wheeler, and Katherine Pardun, as well as his significant other, Marilyn Gonzalez, and his former wife, Michelle Gonzalez, mother of Sebastian.

In addition to his human family, Angel leaves behind his cherished dogs, Sophie, Gonzo, Coco, and Andouille, who were loyal companions throughout his life.

Angel Felipe Gonzalez will be remembered for his unwavering courage, his dedication to his family and profession, and his vibrant spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him.

The family will receive guests from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
