

Ann was born in Cherokee, Iowa, on September 21, 1948. She graduated from Aurelia High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Education degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Missouri.
She worked as a Supervisor for the Texas Rehabilitation Commission and received numerous awards throughout her career high-lighted by being recognized as the San Antonio Woman of the Year. Ann touched and influenced very many lives throughout her career.
Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. She loved reading, going to movies, socializing with friends, and organizing annul family trips and reunions, especially trips back to Iowa to visit the farm and spend time on Storm Lake.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Joyce Cantu Rhodes; sister, Candace Kluesner and brothers Matthew Ohlson and Mark Ohlson; grandson, Martin Cantu; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Cantu and by her parents Margaret Ohlson and Gus Ohlson.
There will be celebrations of life at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Austin Hwy. in San Antonio on Saturday, June 18th at 10:00 am.
