Anne L. McClanahan

She attended Hollins College, Virginia (1945-1947), University of Texas Austin (1948), and graduated from Incarnate Word College (1974).

She married Marion Roy McClanahan, Jr., a young lawyer, in November 26, 1948. Anne and Roy were married 53 years until his death in February 8, 2001.

Anne was an active Delta Delta Delta sister her entire adult life and a dedicated member of Christ Episcopal Church. Rockport, TX was her favorite place to enjoy birdwatching and leisure time with Roy and family. She loved collecting inspirational quotes. Anne treasured her family and friends, and she actively lived her faith.

She is survived by her children Gail McClanahan, Polly McArthur (John), Andrew Scott McClanahan (Sharon); grandchildren Grayson McArthur, Moriah McArthur, and Emma Dickerson (Will); and great grandson Huck Dickerson.
