Anne Sadler Godwin was born in Gustine, Texas on December 2, 1935 to Clara Helen Morrow and Cecil Collins Sadler and entered eternal life on September 1, 2016 in San Antonio, TX. She received a Master of Education degree and was a Reading Specialist in the Houston ISD for many years. Anne was an active member of the Texas State Teacher’s Association.
She is survived by her sister, Debbie Garman (Tommy); sons, Mike Godwin, Terry Godwin (Tina); grandchildren, Ben Hicks (Jane), Grayson Godwin, Ariel Godwin; and her loving companion for many years, Larry Mooney and his children and grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Christ Episcopal Church 510 Belknap Place, 78212. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness by going to www.nami.org.
