He was retired from a 22 year career with Southwestern Bell. He was a perfectionist in his craftsmanship of any project he under took. He was a self-taught jack of all trades.
He leaves a legacy to his children and grandchildren of his love of the outdoors, love of fishing, and hunting. Something he always looked forward to and enjoyed was going to the ranch with his children, grandchildren, and friends. He loved good food, good conversation and a good time. Always ready with a joke and a laugh. To most he was known as Tony, to others he was known as Bubba, or Big Dog (A tribute to his witty, humorous nature). He loved his nieces and nephews and always wanted them to remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Nora Alvarado and brother, Danny Alvarado.
Tony is survived by his wife, Janie Alvarado; son, Anthony Alvarado I; daughter, Angela Alvarado; grandsons, Anthony Alvarado II, Marcos Alvarado, Ernesto Casales; sisters, Gloria Rios (Jesse), Sonia Gallegos (Arthur); sister-in-law, Laura; brothers, Johnny (Linda), Ruben, Armando (Yvonne); numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends; grand-dogs; Frankie, Petie and Jimbo. He will be missed dearly and will be remembered fondly for his wit, sense of humor, and his love of a good time.
