Antonia Cortez

Antonia Cortez, born April 22, 1938, entered her rest on July 20, 2022, at the age of 84. She is proceeded in death by her husband Juan Cortez; parents Archangelo and Filomena D’Agostini and her brother Gigi D’Agostini. Surviving her, are her children: Danny Brantley, Linda Wickwire, Sarah Cortez, Bernice Cortez-Feurbacner; Grandchildren Jason Wickwire, Julia Fellows and husband Charles Fellows, Britney Hollon and husband Shawn Hollon; Great Grandchildren Jayden, Jaycee, Wyatt, Rylee, Blake, Amber, Lucy and Brandy; Brother Attilio D’Agostini.

She was born in Zagarino, Italy. Her family moved to Paris, France when she was a teenager. Her dream was to come to America. She met a G.I. in Paris and said "I’m going to marry that man!" and so she did. She came to America in 1960, culture shock she moved to a little hick town in Oklahoma. She was a woman with many ambitions and dreams. She lived out her passion of antiques and ran an Antique Mall for over 40 years.

A visitation for Antonia will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 5:00 PM.
