Arcilia G. Blackman, age 80, passed away July 8, 2012. She was born on March 5, 1932 in Pleasanton, Texas to Sabas and Guadalupe Gutierrez. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Francisco Salazar and Oscar (Pete) Blackman and a brother, Ruben Gutierrez. She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Belous and husband Fred, Cindy Davis and husband Neal, Rosy Scrum and husband Don, Melinda Haynes and husband Joe; grandchildren, Ruby, Justin, Tiffany, Tanya, Trina, Tamara, Tricia, Leslie and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Raymond, Lola, Bella, Christopher, Grace and Bryce; nephews, Miguel, Mario and Gilbert Gutierrez; sister-in-law, Evangeline Gutierrez and a dear friend Mercy Acuna. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
