

Armando Orta, 76, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 8, 2025. Born on October 2, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas; however, was raised in Racine, Wisconsin. Born to Pablo and Aurelia Orta, he was the seventh of eight children.
Armando lived a life defined by service, strength, and love for his family and country. A proud veteran, Armando served honorably in both the United States Army and Marine Corps, including active duty during the Vietnam War.
Armando is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-three years, Nancy Orta; his children Michelle Orta-Aldana, Yvette Orta (JD) Willeford, Armando Elias (Liza Bazan) Orta, Erica Orta, and Abel Orta; as well as his grandchildren Alexander (Hillore) Aldana, Amanda (Tristan) Gutierrez, Katelynn Aldana, Matthew Orta, Mia Orta, Elias Orta and his great-grandchildren Mason Aldana and Quinn Aldana. Armando is also survived by his sister Diane (Ramiro) Delgado. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, love, and strength that will live on in each of them. His family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace, and they will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
