Armando—big brother, cousin, lifelong friend, dedicated work colleague, and beloved son—has entered the restful arms of our Lord. To those who knew him best, “Mando” was a beacon of strength, loyalty, and warmth. Whether defending our nation as part of the Strategic Air Command in the Air Force or uplifting his family and friends with his infectious charisma, he lived with an unwavering sense of dedication and joy.
As the eldest of four brothers, Mando embraced responsibility from a young age, guiding and protecting his family with a quiet resilience and a heart full of love. His bond with his mother was unshakable—he cherished every moment spent with her, from Sunday morning barbacoa and Big Red to the simple joys of just being by her side.
A true San Antonio native, Mando found his passions early—whether on the football field or the open courts, where he thrived in spirited pickup basketball games. After his service, he carried that same competitive spirit into his professional life, excelling as a leader in his industry. Throughout his 20+ years at AT&T, he witnessed its transformation into the 21st century, always striving to be at the forefront of progress.
Yet, no matter how far life took him, Mando remained deeply rooted in the things he loved—his family, his Spurs, and his Cowboys (even when they tested his patience). His laughter filled every gathering, his wisdom was a guiding force, and his presence was a source of comfort.
Now, as the protector he always was, he joins his brother Louie and dear cousins Hector, Terry, and Johann in eternal peace. Though he leaves an unfillable space in our hearts, his legacy of service, love, and unwavering devotion to family will live on in all who were blessed to know him.
Rest easy, Mando—your light will never fade.
