He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Jovita Medina; wife, Rosalinda Cardona Portillo; grandson, Pete John Juarez; brothers, Juan Medina and Jose Medina; nephews, Ernest Medina, Rudy Villanueva Jr.

He is survived by his children, Leticia Juarez (Pete), Rosemary Valdez (Louie) and Adrian Medina (Chelsea); grandchildren, Aurora, Summer, Autumn, Winter and Pete James Juarez, Augustin, Amy, Samantha and Niko Valdez, Mikey Portales, Aubrianna and Riley Rose Medina; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Jr., Samuel and Ezekiel Salazar, Julian and Alina Valdez; siblings, Josie Garay, Fred and Richard Medina, Maria (Nena) Zamora; numerous nieces and nephews.

The Visitation will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to Midnight at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 11:30 a.m. for a 12:00 p.m. Mass of The Resurrection at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 4415 S. Flores St., San Antonio, TX 78214. Interment will follow in San Jose Burial Park, 8235 Mission Rd., San Antonio, TX 78214.
