Arthur Ibarra

Arthur’s memory will forever live in the hearts of his loving wife of nearly 33 years, Stella Ibarra, his daughter’s Natalie Sanchez (Matthew Sanchez) and Samantha Ibarra (David Rodriguez) and his two grandchildren, Hensley Sanchez and Noah Rodriguez. He will also be dearly missed by his siblings, Rosie Gary, Pat Ibarra, Angie Moore and Henry Ibarra, many in-laws, family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dolores and Antonio Ibarra, his sister Jo Ann Ibarra Jimenez, brother Louis Ibarra and beloved nephew Joseph Gary (the son he never had) and his in-laws Silviano and Lidia Cuellar.

Arthur enjoyed spending time with family, watching sporting events, barbecuing for family get togethers, making his famous Christmas cookies for family and friends while listening to Vicente Fernandez and Reba McEntire’s Christmas music. His greatest joy was spending time spoiling his precious grandchildren Hensley and Noah. Another favorite pastime was attending the annual Mariachi Music Festival with his devoted wife.

Arthur was a devout Catholic and lived his life accordingly. He was a faithful servant to the Lord and was an active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. His faith and beliefs were admired by many and was a padrino to many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

Our hearts are broken but we rejoice in knowing we will one day be reunited in the Kingdom of God. “Well done, Good and Faithful Servant.” Matthew 25:23.

The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 225 Cupples, San Antonio,TX 78237 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of The Resurrection at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 2004 Chihuahua St, San Antonio, TX 78207. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd., San Antonio,TX 78237.
