

Arthur Glenn Singletary, born on November 23, 1934, in Tampa, Florida to Irene Chaffin joined his loving wife of 50 years, Janie, in heaven on February 27, 2023. He was surrounded by those who loved him.
He retired as Chief Master Sergeant after 24 years of honorable service in the United States Air Force. He continued to serve his country for 16 years as a civil servant with the Department of Defense.
Art enjoyed the company of numerous friends while cheering on his San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed going head-to-head with the many video poker machines in Vegas.
Art touched the lives of many with his wise words and loving demeanor.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda, and husband Gil Gianelloni of League City, TX; son, Ronald, and wife Milaura Singletary of Seguin, TX. He was loving and proud of six grandchildren, Todd, Ronald, Claire, Alex, Milaura, great-grandchild Astrid, and nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Arthur will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. A rosary service will occur Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. A committal service will occur Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78234. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou, San Antonio, TX 78228.
