

Augustine Jaramillo Jr., lovingly known as Augie, entered into eternal rest on April 12, 2025 at the tender age of age 56. surrounded by the love of his family. He was born and raised in San Antonio on December 19, 1968 to parents, Diana Sanchez and Augustine H. Jaramillo.
Augie graduated from Edgewood High School in 1987, as the Valedictorian, where he was an active and well-loved student. He was a member of the National Honor Society, and proudly represented his school on the athletic fields. His passion for learning and leadership led him to continue his education at University of Texas in San Antonio.
Augie was a man who appreciated the outdoors. He found peace in fishing trips, enjoyed hunting, and had a lifelong love for baseball—both playing and watching. Whether it was catching a game or casting a line, he cherished the quiet moments just as much as the ones filled with excitement and energy. Augie had a true gift for bringing people together. He loved hosting cookouts at his home, where family and friends would gather to enjoy his cooking and the welcoming atmosphere he created. Known as the grill master, he took pride in every meal he prepared.
A talented trumpet player, Augie once played with The Sunglows, a beloved local San Antonio band. His love of music, food, and togetherness made these gatherings unforgettable and full of heart.
He began his career at Alamo Cement, where his dedication and strong work ethic led him to grow from a sales coordinator to a respected sales manager. His professionalism, reliability, and easy-going nature made him a trusted colleague and friend to many.
Augie shared a close and loving bond with his parents, who remained at the center of his world throughout his life. Together, they formed a strong and devoted family unit built on mutual respect, love, and unwavering support.
Augie will be reunited in heaven with his maternal grandmother, Beatrice Gonzalez; paternal grandparents, Ramona and Pedro Jaramillo; and beloved father, Augustine H. Jaramillo.
He will be remembered by his loving mother, Diana Jaramillo; and his numerous friends that will cherish his warm personality, his passion for sports and the outdoors, and the quiet strength with which he carried himself. Though he never sought the spotlight, his presence left a lasting impression on everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
