Aurelia Wimmer Brink

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Aurelia was born in Windthorst, Texas on November 11, 1916. She spent most of her early years in Hermleigh Texas.

After she finished school in Abilene, she ventured to San Antonio where she became a beautician.

Aurelia met and married Alvin Brink and had two children Steve and Joyce. She later became a very accomplished dressmaker and dressed several debutantes.

Aurelia also had many friends in her church community at Little Flower Catholic Church where she was an active participant in the Altar Society. She was also known to use her dressmaking skills there as well.

Aurelia enjoyed her grandchildren, and had been very excited to travel to Florida to visit her great-grandchildren. The last time was for Thanksgiving of 2008, and became a frequent flyer at 92.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; her grandson, Wesley, son-in-law, Winford; parents, Henry and Ernestine; brothers, Alfonse, Emil and Bill Wimmer and sister, Philomena.

Aurelia is survived by her children, Joyce and Steve and his wife, Kay; grandchildren, Jackie Bode and Brittany Brink; great-grandchildren, Chase and Hannah Bode. She is also survived by brother, Anton Wimmer and sisters, Margaret Grossman, Estella Reissig, Madeline Ellison and Lillian Heinrich, as well as many friends.

She has completed her journey here on earth and has now joined those who have gone before her. She will be missed by all her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring.
