Austin Eugene Robinson

We are extremely heartbroken to announce that Austin Eugene Robinson of Helotes Texas, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the early age of 18. This amazing, incredible, and strong, young man succumbed to medical complications that he struggled with most of his life. Born to Bill and Sandra Robinson, Austin defied all odds and showed the world what true determination was. We find peace knowing that Austin now rests with his grandparents in heaven.

Austin loved so many aspects of life. He so enjoyed sitting on the back patio with one of his parents taking in the Texas sunshine while relaxing and playing on his iPad. He loved his daily routine of exercising, such as weightlifting and walking on the treadmill all while listening to his favorite songs. He participated in several sports/recreation programs through Kinetic Kids; his favorite ones included gymnastics and karate. When Austin wasn’t in school, exercising or doing chores, he would be watching Elmo videos, the Dallas Cowboys or Wheel of Fortune.

Austin recently graduated high school from a homeschool program where he showed a love for learning; he particularly enjoyed math and language arts. He would spend a lot of his evenings reading books, practicing his sign language, and singing songs. Austin’s love of life was so inspiring. His smile was contagious, and his laughter melted hearts. It was amazing to watch as he perfected what he learned and wanted to show it to others.

Austin is survived by his parents; his Grandfather, Gene Patten of Bena, MN; his Aunt Karen Robinson of Acworth, GA; Uncle Gerry (Tracey) Robinson of Myrtle Beach, SC; Uncle Philip (Christine) of Tewksbury, MA; Aunt Beverly (Mike) Bachmeier of Brocket, ND; Aunt Brenda (Randy) Nelson of Devils Lake, ND; Uncle Brian (Kim) Perkuhn of Devils Lake, ND; and Uncle Todd Perkuhn of Wellington, CO. Austin is also survived by several loving 1st and 2nd cousins.

Austin will be remembered for his infectious smile, his high fives and knuckles, and if you were special enough, he grabbed your face and put his forehead to yours; telling you how much he liked you.

Austin’s Celebration of Life will be held December 16 at 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes, 9944 Leslie Rd, San Antonio, TX. Flowers/Plants may be sent to the Church or honorary donations may be sent to Kinetic Kids under Austin’s name.
